Petroleum Alliance Chairman Emeritus David Le Norman has been named the recipient of the organization’s Legacy Award.
The Petroleum Alliance Legacy Award is presented to Alliance members in recognition of individual achievement on behalf of the organization and the oil and natural gas industry as a whole. Each chairman of the Alliance may nominate one recipient for the award during the chairman’s two-year term.
“There’s no more deserving person,” outgoing Alliance Chairman Blu Hulsey said when presenting the Legacy Award at the organization’s June Annual Meeting. “He is giving of his time and his talents. He is representative of what our industry is all about.”
Le Norman was one of 12 industry leaders who in 2018 worked together to create The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma through the merger of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (OIPA) and the Oklahoma Oil and Gas Association (OKOGA), creating one organization to represent the entirety of the state’s oil and natural gas industry.
Committed to working with Oklahoma’s elected officials and policymakers to ensure that the state and its largest industry continue to thrive, Le Norman also serves as Chairman of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (OERB).
Le Norman is founder and managing partner of Reign Capital Holdings and is a 40-year veteran of the oil and natural gas industry. He holds a B.S. in petroleum engineering from the University of Wyoming, master’s work in chemical engineering at Oklahoma State University, and an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University.
